I read this and when I read the final words "I love you." a Tear fell from one of my eyes I am sorry for your loss, But at this moment I would not be surprised that Your Dad is sitting in heaven watching over you with a single piece of paper in his pocket that has a poem written Feb.9 2015 and the title is Knocking on heaven's door.

I am touched Jan! Read your bottom comment...didn't realize he was back in hospice; it's true...it's as if permission is sometimes being asked for. You write this with love and resignation. In our prayers. hugs // paul

The magnitude of our suffering is proportional to the love shared! May God welcome him into his arms when ready and may you find the courage to withstand the blow! Celestial poem and a seven, dear Jan!

He has deteriorated so much Vera - he was due to go home 10th Feb but today they have made the decision he can stay - I may print this out for him or at least tell him - maybe he just needs to know it is ok to let go now:-) hugs jan xx

It is a loving tribute to your dad Jan, he knows you love him and he loves you. That is what is most important and it is what you will always hold in your heart. The grief will pass the love will not. Stay strong my dear friend. All my love and support, Shane xxx
