Of all the pets I crave to hold,
are little kittens, shy or bold;
and whether black, light gray, or gold-
placed in my arms- I fast enfold.
Their sweet meows are like a song;
could listen to them all day long.
For they are gentle, never strong;
I tend to want to mew along.
And oh, those paws- so soft and wide
with light pink toes, neath fur to hide;
then all at once, so gently slide
upon my cheek with love applied.
But, best is how their eyes are seen-
no matter if they're blue or green,
some others- gold, or in between;
my heart is captured- quite unseen.
Of all the pets I crave to love
that fit my lap just like a glove;
sleep at my feet or head above-
sweet, darling kittens are beloved.
