Kissing the Trigger
We've stayed together far too long.
but lonely slashes good judgement-doesn't it.
We've accepted our mutual ugliness.
Like an overgrown garden or graffiti on a dying dog.
Life is too short to settle for mediocrity.
Hearts should breathe like an aurora.
Every beat spitting stars aflame.
Instead, they've turned into chalk.
Melting in the driving rain.
Which one has the balls to kiss the trigger.
and blow this ugliness away.
