Keepsake of Love
Since I lost you my love,
my tears could fill all the oceans blue;
I am afraid my love that I cannot go on,
that I have lost me too and wander melancholy,
searching my heart and soul for a token;
a keepsake, a memento of our love.
I am adrift and invisible, I feel like a cast away,
and hide like I am hunted by wild creatures;
then, as I sit weeping on a city park bench,
I stroke my wedding ring and am taken back;
to our wedding day when we said I do.
So, I have found this token of our love,
it is this gold ring upon my finger, this love keepsake;
that I will wear forevermore,
as a token of our eternal love.
