Kaleidoscope

Swirls ,twirls. kaleidoscopes of color
Dreams and schemes the whole night long
Ideas unleashed, boundaries unknown
The winds of frenzy blow so strong..

Keep turning the wheel..yet one more time
My kaleidoscope gives another scene
Seeds of insanity.. tumbling shades of red
Looking and looking .. what can it mean

Hoping that reality does not preclude
The kaleidoscope of dreams I view
The madness masked in deepest sleep
Turn to brilliance? I wish I knew...

The madness masked in deepest sleep ... does not only tell the theme of this imagination, but captures something I wrote in a mail to Thvia today, about poetry being a search for meaning. I will tell Thvia to read this ... and exalt you to the honored list of those who feel in thought, and bring great richness to this place ... great write, Barbara
