beneath cotton skies
besides the lake's edge, ice cracks
daffodils in bloom
the sun heats the ground
amidst the filthy fence row
wheat meadows abound
a vast rippling wave
wrapping pure azure water
a mossy blanket
wearing a jacket
while strolling through an orchard
apples, honeycrisp
bright sun for the bleak winter
keep a flow in my river
