Just a Note
What does that mean,
taking time...
and dwelling on a memory?
It is a choice,
sometimes of our own making,
but not always.
Our lives are long to us,
and short in reference to time.
It is the only anchor we understand.
Yet, we are still lost.
We hang on to things,
when people leave,
or are taken.
We try to fill the gaps
and empty places...
with substance.
Yet...
You can not hold air,
with your heart,
or your hands.
Family, those we are saddled with,
friends, those we chose.
Others... that choose us,
for all the right or wrong reasons.
We will look back,
as forward is already written
in the clouds.
We will see where we have been,
and pray never to make the same
mistakes...
again.
Dear God,
Just a note...
Have the very nices day!
