July 29th

stillness after : the day after : the heavy rain : the front door’s closed : I’m reconnecting with time : time whispers : someone says time’s not real : I write a poem : this is the story : a man come back home : but he must leave again : boxes and bags to be packed : a dirty plate in the sink : time waits for no one : the skies are gray right now : a passage : cars parked on either side of a broken street : today the neighbors don’t speak : somewhere someone cries : is it me : this sentence on a page has two meanings : a passage : rich grass on a hill blocks away : flowers left near plots : the cemetery speaks of hidden lives : grasses after taking in rain learn to live again
