Juliet's Letter To Romeo

I will pretend to die, my love They will be completely fooled. We will be together when I awake They are prejudiced. They do not understand, And they will not listen. Both of us know what our souls want. We are together forever and always. You and I, we are mates, I knew this the first time I saw you. I could tell by the recognition in your eyes You knew me, like I instantly knew you. Do not lament. It is a trick. We are tricking them. Uh-oh. The trick is on us. At least we got the forever part right...

Oh boy! These star crossed lovers should not have swore on the moon. The clever sometimes get fooled. Love this one Caren!

I need to take lessons in brevity from you! How you condensed all that down so perfectly is amazing!!! Great work! ;)

Here is the trick. Make yourself write less than a hundred words about anything. Snow, flowers, joy, ugly stepsister, whatever. Then after you master that, challenge yourself to edit it to 50 words. If you can get it down to 35 words or less, wow! Perfect! I am always giving myself these little tasks.

I recall seeing this in high school; had a teacher who took everyone to the play and then she took us all to her house for a cookout; one of my favorite teachers. Great version!

This is an amazing. A condensed version. I loved Romeo and Juliet. A true love they had for each other. I probably saw the same movie you did Caren. I had to go see it for my Literature Class in High School.

I went on a date to a drive in theater in Des Moines, Iowa and this was before cell phones. In order for me to make curfew - an hour home - we had to miss the ending. The last 20 minutes!

Hi Caren, This a good perspective and take on " Romeo Juliet". The story of Romeo is sad yet beautiful at the same time- Alexis

I saw this as a movie when I was 17, and I never got over it. That was 50 years ago. So tragic!
