Joy Is Something I Create Every Day
Joy is something I create every day, determined to procure it.
Delighting in her sunshine colors.
Hot pink.
Orange.
Yellow.
Neon Green.
Joy is drawing my wild women,
My pirate queens, my gypsy soul princesses.
Joy is painting wildly until they are alive and smiling.
Until their eyes light up something wonderful in me that
I sometimes think will never be found again.
Joy is something I strive for, I live for, I share readily,
knowing the more I throw around in pixie dust packages, and
key lime pie talk, the more enthusiasm I will glean for myself.
To have full-blown joy, I write poetry, and I share it with the masses.
Laughing when they do not understand, smiling when they do.
Joyously living my truth. Something I create every day, so I can live.
