I find joy in Jesus
Because He lights my heart
With kindness and love
And so many good thoughts
I find joy in Jesus
Because He fills my soul
With His tender mercies
His assurance of honesty
I find joy in Jesus
Because He opens my mind
To listen to sweet grace
And never to my pride
I find joy in Jesus
Because He clears my thoughts
Fills me up with compassion
From the center of His mercies
I find joy in Jesus
Because He inspires my life
To be stronger than the sin
That tries to pull me in
I find joy in Jesus
Because He gives me hope
Encouragement and reassurance
That all my heart is His sculpture
I find joy in Jesus
Because He rains blessings down
Pours out love in my heart
And colors my world in elation
I find joy in Jesus
Because He lifts me up
To heights of tender beauty
Discovered in the spirit’s belief
I find joy in Jesus
Because He fills me up
With faith that breathes insight
To believe in His pure blood
I find joy in Jesus
Because I know He is alive
Awaiting my entrance into heaven
Where He is asking God for absolution
I find joy in Jesus
Because He is my best friend
Without Him, I am nothing
But an old, lost sinner again
I find joy in Jesus
Because His love is my hope
The faith I have in His blood
Assures me that I will live eternally
I find joy in Jesus
Because He is the One
Who heals all my worries
As I sing praises to His heart
I find joy in Jesus
Because He knows my heart
Listens to my prayers
Even fills my lungs with air
I find joy in Jesus
Because He lives in heaven
Where He’s building my home
A place to live forever and ever
I find joy in Jesus
Because He silences my dread
Whispers laughter through my soul
And reassures me that I’m His
I find joy in Jesus
Because love like His is alive
Breathing inspiration and truth
Through my heart, soul and spirit
I find joy in Jesus
Because He is my life
Loving and listening with compassion
That only He is capable of
I find joy in Jesus
Yes, I certainly do
I find joy in Jesus
He is my final truth
