Journey

Life is a walk and there're lessons to learn, There're encounters and mountains to surmount, Winding roads to meander, bend and turn, Each experience we constantly recount. Life is a relentless flowing river, Its depth and expanse are hidden from sight, In every chamber is a budding dream, Longing and striving to be brought to light. Everyone has their due time and season, They heartedly await its arrival, Though it is delayed none has a reason, Patience and hope are without doubt primal. We're busy in the wait spinning the yarn, Life is a walk and there're lessons to learn. May 19, 2022, Orphan Sonnet Poetry Contest, Emile Pinet.
