Jewel of Splendor
In the beginning, there was love
which grew beyond the breadth of loneliness
between outstretched arms
that sought refuge in your tender heart
of glorious majesty...filled with richness
lit by the rising sun of expectations
when your love's warmth flooded the empty meadows
of my soul with wondrous dreams of noble light
welcoming me to believe in love again
could this moment be encased in amber
to be worn as a jewel of splendor
around my heart
until life ends and love's final magnificence
melts away with time
