Notes About The Poem

Jesus, Come Today

********

                         Jesus, Jesus, did you say?
You will wash my sins away.
If you did, I will repent.
I'm trusting you, your heaven sent.
God the Father, God the Son.
Yes, I know that you are one.

                       Jesus, Jesus, Yes, I prayed.
I'm trusting you this very day.
                       Thank you for your sacrifice.
You saved my soul. You paid the price.
Holy Spirit, Comforter, teach me of God's Holy Word.
                        Jesus, Jesus, come today!
Please, oh! Please, that's what I pray.

                                      Titus 2:13

Sister in Jesus Christ, as a pastor-evangelist, thanx for understanding. U are a true believer & U / we ought to expect the Second Coming anytime. But I must speak against "cheap Grace" that all can go to Jesus. Not cheap: it cost Abba Father the Best in Heaven to pay for our sins. Luke 14: Carry your Cross Matthew 7:14-21 warns "not all who say Lord, Lord" will be saved. Jesus will tell prophets and healers ... I never knew you. Repent, accept& follow Jesus all the way ... Hallelujah

Hello! Anil, True salvation is something that should not be taken for granted. However, only God has access to the human heart. He is the only one who knows who are His. Thanks Anil, I always enjoy your comments. Blessings ~ Debra

Faith-fully done. Just in terms of Precedent, John the Baptizer taught REPENT & BE forgiven first, then Jesus came. Sorry to harp on it, but Jesus' Forgiveness is there for all, but not all REPENT & get WASHED. Shalom Shalom my Sister in Christ
