I’ve known love – through relationships One with my mom – one with my dad One with my uncle – one with my aunt I’ve known love – romantic and platonic Both of them real love, though different Special in their very own way, their very own Right, distinctive and unique, like the blessings That follow me when I seek… The love that means more to me, the love That pours out hope through me – The love that is like a light and a peace The love that is silent, still and filled with belief This love comes from the One who made the stars He is the love that awakens the dreams inside He is the wonder beyond wonders, the light who makes me whole He is the love that I yearn to always know – He is the love that brightens every soul Because of His love… love that was proven so long ago Upon a old, rugged cross – at calvary, where God Taught us all about love that is beyond words, beyond Comprehension, beyond mere kindness or compassion There on that cross, He showed love that is alive, Love that never dies – love that will always abide inside The one who listens to the mystery of His birth, His life His death on that cross where we would experience The amazing grace that became the way to learn just what it is… To give all, to give without conditions – to give in such a way That no one can explain the miracle that surpasses every gift, The miracle of love that lifts us from the darkness of our sin Into the beauty of everlasting peace – the wonderful Found in the presence of One who was resurrected to become The way to know God as Father and Jesus as Son, The way to see real love that can never be undone!
