Not yet have I got any grip on stressed/unstressed syllables...
If what should have shed is grasped and held Established rot accepted beyond sense Sacrifice, toil, no attack or defence Bonded in a jointly damaging meld And the urge to part being soothed and quelled Denial that this road is too intense All hope is lost, healing cannot commence In belief this love is unparalleled As I close my eyes to gain inner strength Let welcome loss pervade my every cell Observing who here may wither and die Create distance 'til stretched to full arms length Watch on as once beautiful bids farewell Call out in the darkness to no reply
