It's Back

Finally tonight That old fire inside me It’s come back Revived ablaze Raging ravaging wonderful Wild scary and sweet It’s back It’s back The warm love I once knew I’ve broken free My mind My heart is free No sweeter place to roam Than amidst this fire Raging inside me Here in my own heart Inner sanctuary Of hidden treasures AP: Honorable Mention 2022 Submitted on December 4, 2018 for contest DECEMBER 2018 sponsored by BRIAN STRAND Originally posted on March 14, 2018

Fastest 'day' in the history of the world. Here I am again, back at you: This superb poem has already served as the Muse, the Inspiration, for a little something I've dubbed the "Traiku"---Three Interconnected Haikus. (Check it out on my site; I just posted it). Your poem 'unstuck me,' Line, I swear. Thanks a million. :) Gershon

This is a wonderful, wonderful, poem, Line. You have depicted the capture of something vital here, and the depiction is eloquently expressed. I'm going to come back to this in the days ahead---as I need to rekindle the fire myself, stuck here in the twilight zone between the end of winter and the beginning of spring. Yours in 'stuckedness,' Gershon

Thanks, Gershon. I actually wrote this a little while ago so I'm somewhat out of the rut but with the upcoming spring then I, and hopefully you as well, will flourish no doubt!
