It Was Hard To Get Up This Morning But
Picture you at a sunrise service,
A little chilled watching the sun arise,
Hear the bells calling joy to you,
A choir singing words of hope and love.
Picture the Lord risen, watching, smiling over all,
In the eyes of the loved ones beside you;
The silent city down below, no traffic yet this day,
As you relax and don’t want to leave.
Picture you and your family
Sitting on blankets with a breakfast basket,
You with a thermos of hot coffee,
Boiled eggs and buns, and then,
If you have little ones or even big ones,
Throw around colored eggs to find,
Daily cares left behind, save Love,
He is Risen.
