It Takes Two
It takes two to make things work
It takes two when things go wrong
It can either be a beautiful or muted song
It takes two to cause memories to lurk
Friendships, relationships, good or bad
It is not just one, through it all
Whether you fly together or fall
Happy, angry, wishful or sad
Before blame rushes in to take hold
Before fragile hearts start to break
Allow your soul to be truthfully awake
To both sides waiting to be told
In the present or looking at the past
Reach in the mind to see it clear
Reactions go both ways, far and near
It takes two to let go or to make it last
