Have you ever rejected God;
thinking religion is a fraud?
Is hope your new reality,
rejecting death's finality?
Have you ever been without love,
lost in a world of push and shove?
And have you crawled inside your heart,
cowering as it falls apart?
Have you ever lost faith in things
or sought to flee on magic wings?
And are you filled with constant pain;
dealing with life's relentless strain?
Have you ever felt emptied out,
stripped of every feeling but doubt?
And have you broken down and cried
because your fantasy dreams died?
Have you ever wished life would end,
feeling alone, without a friend?
And does eternity scare you,
'cause you're afraid; that it might be true?
