It Just Happens
Cats tolerate the space I move in,
most dogs find me interesting.
My head is rolling, there it goes - downhill,
I'm thinking: 'it's just great to be this headless’
you can’t fake that, it just happens.
Shoulders shrug -- cats and dogs
become my eyes.
In a drop of still clear water
just the one light
reflects countless rays.
Even though we know
we are not where or what
we think we are,
the concrete still sets
as hard as ever.
