Wettened by the mornings dew Closely spaced where rows of roses grew Footprints stained the cobblestone Where my love and I had walked, alone My beau dropped down on bended knee He whispered, “Darling, will you marry me, This twisted blade of grass is just a token ring Take my hand, let’s go and buy the real thing”!

Jan, I absolutely love this one, for some reason the winners are not listed in contest/results. Although I did not chose this in my winners list, it is well worthy of a first-place win! It just didn't fit in with the collaboration poem that I put together and will be posting within the next few days. Love, love, love this! Hugs Charlie xx

Your comment has made my day thanks Craig especially as I've Just been listening to Homeward Bound by William Joseph. The poem I wrote for your contest is one I am so so proud of, along with a recent poem Sunset Sadness. Proof i can write 'real poetry'! hugs jan xx

How romantic! I love it, Jan. Reminds me a bit of the day hubby Bill got down on his knees and asked me to marry him...a frozen moment in time. Enjoy your day, hugs, Sara
