Is It Me

Today we walked the long way home You held my hand As I balanced on a log over a puddle You said I looked nice without prompting Later as it was time to leave for a show I started putting make up on You weren't annoyed at my timekeeping And very beautifully brought the bins in whilst waiting I just asked if I should wash your shirts for Saturday You asked if I could wash the one you were wearing and removed it It reminded me of the Levi's Ad Maybe I'll tell you later These little parts of the day All paint the picture I would like to live in When do I misunderstand? Days like these or the rest of the time...

A dreamy tale but firmly anchored in suburban reality. Next time you reach for some make-up, perhaps he'll learn how to wash clothes!

How could any woman forget that Levi’s ad? He can take it off even if the wash gets put on hold. You leave room for the imagination to take a firm hold, Dilly. Thanks ;-)

mmm the imagery is so beautiful and romantic dilly - love the idea of the levi's man I can almost hear the music in my head! The second stanza reminded me of Lady in red by Chris de burgh/ wonderful tonight by Eric Clapton! hope you are having a lovely evening. hugs Jan xx
