Is I Is Or Is I Ain'T? (A Bow To the Cab)
I woke up this morning
And found I wasn't me
I looked so gosh-darn
different
As anyone can see
Where did I go, and
who is this?
I struggled with the thought
I ain't this person in the mirror
I ain't what I thought ought
Oh, what the heck
Maybe it's all for the best
I climbed back in my bed
And continued with my rest
I was never that darn charming
and no handsome movie-star
I wish I had their looks
But you are just what you are
Awoke again, and to my surprise
Another strange face before my eyes!
I figured, wow, this is cool
I'll sleep much on and off
Until I find a face
That doesn't make me cough
So, children, listen to me
Be proud of what you've got
don't be so darn envious
You putrid piece of snot!
