Into Nightscape
High above, the storm grows bizarre
O maddened sea , rattling the mast;
My fate near water’s edge, aghast
A life shuffling as night is cast
All dim except one single star.
Through smog, a fair siren appears
Long the tresses, eyes made of green,
Rising to meet tempest’s bloodstream
In her lash, a shipwreck redeemed;
Calming my fright among hazed tears.
Ahead I lay on shoreline’s eaves
The buoyant glide of milder waves,
Softens with the nymph's hushed octaves
That even rough typhoon behaves;
As she coasts along, then leaves.
I wake to feel a heady scent
Lips tasting salt of restful night,
Upon dreamscape, snapshots delight
Till misty air grabs fancy’s flight;
Yet, her mystique leaves me incensed.
