Interview

~Do you have any experience being skipped? Well, not exactly, but I witnessed my friends skipping across the pond. If they can do it, I believe I can too! ~What would you say is your greatest strength? Self-confidence. Maybe. Oh wait, how about decisiveness. Hmm... or patience? Can you tell me what my chances are? I'm really counting on this! ~Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years? I could see myself getting balanced in a stack, and when they think I'm ready, being skipped across the pond! Then perhaps they will swim out to go pick me up again, and keep skipping me? ~Being a skipping stone may be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Are you prepared to accept your fate if you don't get retrieved out of the pond? Not sure... I mean I have lived my whole life that I can remember, out here in the sun and rain, watching people hike by. What happens after one gets skipped? ~Well, hardly any stone has come back to tell the story, so it's hard to say... I imagine life goes on down there, with the other skipped rocks, sharing stories of who skipped you, and how many times you bounced on the water, etc. etc. Could you see yourself joining them? On second thought, I'd like to apply for your rock-balancing stones position only. Then I can keep watching the stones get skipped, while maintaining my life in the sun. Less excitement, but more stability. I could feel like I am making a difference, helping people de-stress. ~There's no shame in that, I respect your decision. Thank you, we will consider your application and let you know. Thank you for your time. Thank you for having me. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Interview Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Anthony Biaanco
