Intense Multi Tasking
Hi there,
Please take your seats,
Welcome, I greet
You four young ladies
Applying for this
Wonderful post,
Call me Bill, I’m your
Interviewer and host!
I hope all of you enjoy
Gym and exercising
For you will surely get a
Lot of that,
I ensure and promise you
That is a fact,
So hope your health
Is intact!
You will probably
Lose some weight,
We’ll talk again
Six months from this date!
You will work twenty four seven,
No seventh Heaven!
It is appropriate to say that
The Job Title is Manager
Of Operations ,
You are required to multi task
No weekends off,
And you had better get used
To the smell of carnations!
“Are you serious, or are
You insane,
What you’re asking of
Us is inhumane!”
You will be expected
To do overtime
With no pay,
“What did you say,
Without pay,
Wow that is just
Plain cruel”.
Just eat more veggies and
Take vitamins for fuel,
Incidentally, there is no
Annual bonus,
And no tea breaks, you
Have to stand, bend
And be constantly on the move
Great stamina needed.
“Truly” says one young lady
“Have you checked this out with
With your lawyer,
Because what you’re asking of us
I doubt is even legal
Almost medieval!”
“I think” said another “that
This job sounds ridiculous,
So crazy, intense.”
All is quite legal said
The interviewer, I
I certainly know many who
Do this job,
And sometimes have to
Look after a mob,
Does not transgress
Work boundaries and ethics!
It requires careful
Negotiation,
And you face many
A situation!
Of course interpersonal skills
Are important, but
You will also experience
Many thrills!
“What about lunch”,
Sure, when your associate
Has finished theirs!
By the way do you have
A medical degree or a post
Graduate course in the culinary
Arts oh, and if you had a life,
You can forget it, and as for holidays,
Easter, Christmas New Year,
I fear,
You also have to forget!
Now this is when your work levels
And stress reach a peak,
And nothing makes sense,
It all sounds like Greek!
And if I tell you that you’ll
Have to work
Through the night,
By morning you will look a fright!
Oh, and I forgot
No weekends etiher,
No sir, and neither,
Is there an annual bonus.
“That quite enough, I’m leaving”
All four get up to leave,
Please let me explain, millions
Do the job everyday,
In fact you should pray
That one day you will be blessed
And become a MOTHER
The greatest job in the
World no other
Could give you such joy,
Whether your baby
Is a girl or a boy!
