Insurance Thoughts

The thing you must know ‘bout insurance Is it’s giving you lots of assurance That if something goes wrong It will help you along And you’ll live with a sense of endurance. It’s ironic, though, that you must pay (Though you hope things will turn out okay) For those times, just in case, Yet get smacked in the face And your plans or your health slip away. All that money it’s cost through the years To protect against all of your fears Won’t seem very well spent Except, in the event That disaster leaves you in arrears.

Well there is something to be said for peace of mind, but after a while and many well laid plans that blow up, it's hard to have much peace of mind anyway. Catch 22 I guess. Great poem and very well fitted to the form.........pat

I used to take out insurance on my appliances ,TV, fridge etc but got wise. The amount I was spending would have easily covered the cost of replacing at least two every couple of tears. Have if my memory serves me tight only ever claimed once Tom

Insurance companies certainly give it to policy holders in the rear as all the people from Hawai'i to the Carolinas will discover when they claim the loss of their vehicle due to flooding, e.g., Blue Book value does not include the replacement cost after Trump's 25% steel tariff! Aloha! Rico
