Inspired

Inspired The night, still, dark, my silent thrill…inspired! Alone I sat and wrote ‘til heart’s content. Expressions filled with wisdom I desired. So word-by-word I wrote; did not relent. For hours many views, to mind transpired Some words were forced, some flowed with fresh insight. And thus I wrote from dark until daylight. © Dane Ann Smith-Johnsen February 3, 2010 Poetic form: Ottava rima

Dane Ann, I have written of exactly this same process using form poetry. Something we share in common! I really love this form and the poem you came up with using it. About the ABC poem, I found all those forms you mentione and told CArrie about it, but she seems to think her gorgeous Yosemite poem was not a true ABC poem, and she was using that same style as I used with my menu poem! I hope somebody here lets everyone know exactly the rules of it sometime! Luv, Andrea
