Inspiration's
independent
and gathers strength
in its own way.
To requests- not so attendant;
but on its own-
it will allay.
Our minds will yearn
for words to paint
a thought that flickers
in our brains.
Hearts may desire visions, quaint
beyond the
ordinary planes.
Our souls may use
a prayer to seek
outstanding thought
held deep within.
But, inspiration does not speak;
with its own magic
will begin.
Yes, inspiration
smiles at us-
for it's not always
flying by.
But, when it does, it's with no fuss,
and like a rainstorm,
fills our sky!
