Inside Out

Not in vein the thinker stands Wearing the inward upon open sleeves red and blues trickle down from the mind upon a white plastered mold Standing in the large room of what could be the heart pumping to truly express what one believes more than a notion truth always relevant in a poetic ocean Perfect love perfect speech preaching yet I stand in the waters up to my neck overtly where what once was a beach Hostilities smothered yet perfectly free as I slowly surrender to the waves I will not relent untill the statue is covered better to wash up than never been wet

We certainly do expose our innermost thoughts in our poetry, John. And I love the way you describe the cathartic effect it has on the writer in your great poem! Love, Carolyn
