Inevitability
INEVITABILITY
I saw the lines;
Those trails of broken dreams;
Marking the disappointments in my life.
What once seemed perhaps dangerous
Reflects back now as worn, withered;
And altered.
Viewing life differently but feeling the same;
It’s not.
This life has always been as such.
From the deepest of beginnings;
Still uncreated;
My cast was set and dyed.
Listed in print are clues of;
Comedy, tragedy and mortality;
The curtain must rise for the third act
Like the defender of injustice; with sword in hand;
I wish only to leave a mark on the heart or mind,
Of those who stopped long enough to see the play.
