In the Storm
Grief is like lightening
A storm brews, then it strikes
The numbness gives into tears
The loss echoes all around
There is no going back
Time doesn’t grant us a rewind
We can only hold onto loving memories
Spread goodness to others in new days
Grief is like lightening
It wakes you up, unexpectedly
Then, the heart pounds like thunder
As the soul stands like a lone tree
Even in a forest of so many
There’s no denying it’s so hard to say goodbye
