In Gratitude
In gratitude
Crying tears of blood
Pain flowing
down the cheeks
Broken hearted
To you I am sorry
Your reasons unknown
Wishing we had talked
A simple reason enough
Left with the shadow of doubt
No longer close
Hidden within you
A secret
Slowly bleeding
the heart dry
None more cruel
Than silence
The easy way out
Bring me back to love
Years of life
lie wasted
This wall created
a summit
All the emotion
a man possessed
Buried beneath the stones
I tried to climb
A secret so dark
In the end
turning cold
Without even a heart
You put the poker
deep in the chest
Hurting so deep
As I bury myself
Like a river
it bleeds in hurt
No easy way out
Honesty
Would have found me
Instead you lied
so many times
Taking back my heart
in gratitude
Shattered
In a million pieces
With only myself
Left to pick up
What's left
It was then
the pain ended,
wasted years
for what
