In an Instant
a flat line, until mechanically shaken
the instant travels - transposes into reality
received as a beating heart
as all that is after thought - is given entity
I exist at the end of this rope:
flesh, blood ~ a touch of electricity
flashes of consciousness
a lifetime of memories
ideas revved up to play out
ignited brain waves jump rope with the heart
philosophically speaking
curtailed, awareness has a crushing weight
cruelly unaccounted for, dampening flight
I await correction of composition
the reverberations of infinity
to kindly one day skip between transgressions
mechanics are bold and cruel; electricity, a vixen
and me - watching on
something else entirely
frayed - at the spliced second where the end begins
my energy equating to time
and stalling
