Imagine On a Winter's Day

I bet no-one has tried doing this, but they go snow boarding and skiing in the same weather :)

Imagine swinging in a hammock on a winter's day If you're bundled up enough, it may be ok? If you're in the arms of another, maybe even great! If you haven't tried...well, it's not too late Swinging above the land all covered white Under the pines, swaying on like a kite Swinging peacefully together, hand in hand Hey, even if you fall out, a soft place to land! :) So, who says hammocks are only for summer? There's skiing and snowboarding? No hammock? A bummer! Heidi Sands 11/29/18

Great idea and poem, Heidi. If you invented one that could be turned so it wouldn't fill with snow during a storm, I'll bet they would be used more during the winter. Warm wishes~ Warren

Hi, Warren. Yes, that's an idea. I have one in the summer that I take in and out. It is a cloth one to hang on hooks. So, I don't leave it out in the rain. So, either a designed one that stays outside, or bringing it in and out like summer. Or hey, maybe some kind of heated one for winter would be nice LOL Thank you for your comment :)

You are right. Why not? Reminds me of that old Bing Crosby classic: "Would you like to swing on a star? // Carry moonbeams home in a jar?" So if one can swing on a star, why not on a hammock! :) gw

That was awesome Heidi, another great poem will it ever end? How much time did you spend swinging on that swing holding hands tell us the rest of the story, now I am intrigued.

Heidi, fun write, well the closest I came to this is sleeping in a tent outside in the winter all snuggled up in a sleeping bag, sort of a nightmare really ~

I had never thought of that before but is does sound like fun, as long as you don't fall asleep and wake up two feet under. : )
