Imagine

Imagine Imagine… A mansion among many promised mansions On the banks of a river from blessing, Sparkling in the eternal sun, A shoreline lined with trees In the harmonic hush of glory Their leaves of healing Float like sacred balm in everlasting wholeness Imagine… A house made of joy Where reality genuflects to eternity Giving up crippled deafness And every mute shame Where joy adorns the doorstep And laughter’s pure intentions Decorates with blazing brilliance every wall Imagine… A home with a foundation Of perfect reconciliation Where perpetual sweetness flows Like honey from the honey comb And awaits unfathomed eternal dawn To rest upon the broad shoulders Of the eternal agape and clement mercy. Imagine… A kingdom where Frigid winds feel the breath of exile And sullen cold retreats Midnight finally rests Cradled in the sighs of the perfect Pi Where sorrow’s burden and grief’s millstones Lay shattered at a crumbling gravestone Imagine… Home 3-2-23 Contest: Writing Challenge I Words Sponsor: Constance La France

Greetings Frances! Many thanks for your congratulations and your beautiful feedback. Each time I write about this subject a window does open a little more for me. A gift. It was fun to gather together different scripture references and put them into a poem that imagines! All the best to you. Sending you blessings of joy!!

Jo, thank you so much for your note of congratulations! Please forgive my delay in answering your congratulatory note. I am so grateful for it. You are correct - there is a double meaning for home - earthly and heavenly! As poets we get to play with words and meanings. I guess that is part of being a wordsmith! What a joy!! Sending you blessings for your home and your heart!

It’s easy to imagine a house made of joy, though it’s not so for many a girl or boy. A marvellous write Sam, congratulations on your success in Constance’s contest… Belle

Thank you so much Belle! Your message of congratulations gave me such joy. It does, however, break my heart to know that many children do not know "a house made of joy!" I keep them close in prayer and hope they will some day experience this kind of happiness. Hope you are doing well. Sending you bunches of blessings with joy!

Even to imagine such a paradise of bliss is invigorating and energizing. What a lovely home it would be where "joy adorns the doorstep/ And laughter’s pure intentions/ Decorates with blazing brilliance every wall" . That's my dream house. You have taken me to a heavenly place of bliss, dear Sam. Congratulations on your first place win.

Dearest friend, one day I will get caught up! Thank you for your beautiful message and lovely feedback. Writing this poem and imagining this "dream house," as you so creatively and aptly describe it, brought me great joy as words of scripture bubbled up into the phrases and imagery. There is no greater joy than to know that you experienced this place of pure happiness and raptured "bliss" through these words. Sending you blessings on wings of joy sweet friend!
