Image Configured
Down the desiccated spine of the sepia valley
scaling the serrated slopes of the jagged rocks
you disappeared like a swan in its furtive flight
with the rhythm of the rippling summer breeze
through the still shadow of silence in the thicket.
Mid-summer rains poured from cloudburst sky
flowed in the valley with the surge of torrent
cascading down the sculpted face of rock cliff
formed a lively lattice of an animated waterfall
where in an image I saw you return configured.
