When I was young, you frightened me and I would hide from you those days. I wanted you to leave me be, you seemed evil in many ways. Years passed, and I learned to shun you, hoping that you'd leave me alone. But you'd show up out of the blue, and my dislike for you has grown. Figuring I had lost my fear, you kept me waiting till today. Circumventing me every year, I watched your shadow slip away. But lately, you've been on my mind, and I had a hunch you might show. If it's time to leave life behind, okay, Death; I'm ready, let's go.

Ah, Emile, you surprised me with that ending. Still, at my advanced age, I understand and sometimes feel the same way. I suppose we'll both stick around until the appointed time comes, eh?
