I cherish the feelings I’ve known
The joys, hopes and dreams that have grown
From the depths of my heart and soul
Gentling my thoughts with emotions all my own
Love that leaves my affections completely whole
I cherish the family who have blessed my life
Encouraging and reassuring me through all my strife
Impressing my ambitions with sweetest serenity
Cutting through my worries with comfort like a sharp knife
Leaving me with an elated and thriving amenity
I cherish the inspirations that come from above
Dancing on the edges of my energy with richest love
Coloring me in hues of eager pleasure so sure
That I can’t stop the sensations of laughter I’m in awe of
All the trouble and sorrow this heart can endure
I cherish the wisdom which assures the mind
Everything that has been only a dream is a kind
Of happiness brought to life by the one who believes
God is there, lifting up with grace which is inclined
To bring a peace that only the soul perceives
I cherish God’s beauty – His kindness and care
Giving that is so persuasive it is the answer to a prayer
Leaving even the silence filled with gentle belief
Bringing out the passion inside that will prepare
The breath of a promise within which brings such relief
I cherish God’s tender gift of pure love
There is no greater gift that fits like a glove
On the one who knows what intimacy with the creator
Brings to the heart and soul who write of
Heavenly repose where the author is much greater
I cherish the sagacity of a reality
Where I know what it is to always agree
With the hopes that come from sweet praise
For the One who is always giving His joy to me
The one who knows that His love can always amaze
Above all that is and all that will be
I cherish God and will always bend my knee
To the One who I love beyond anything that is
To the One who breathed life into me
And gave me the wonder of surely being His
