Illusion's Plot, Gordian Knot

When it’s designed to bewilder illusion’s plot gets scowls. He thinks his tales should have thrilled her Gordian knot, three fouls. he’s out; his jokes disintegrate. But he laughs ‘cause she took the bait. Illusion’s plot - Gordian knot. Embarrassed, her face is scarlet; His fun, guaranteed to upset. Next, his emotional vortex - maintaining hoax is fun, another ploy from his cortex. Explaining jokester’s done. He’d do well to apologize regret? he doesn’t recognize. Maintaining hoax, explaining jokes, his final plunge into debate finds her goodbye from this stalemate. First impression, fallacious, ma’am. there is no truth within. Intentional evasion, sham, a lie, forsooth, lie’s twin. Victim, often just curious, falls for that which is spurious, there is no truth a lie, forsooth. Endeavor meant to tantalize gets a cold shoulder and dies. written June 26, 2018

Interesting write Reason, not sure if I understood it all, seems a little cryptic, but very intriguing, congrats on a fine placement!

just the story of a poor guy (raised with no sisters) trying to impress a girl with no idea of how to proceed. Glad for the placement. The form may have thrown you off; a San Gabriel refrain, kind of a variation on the trijan refrain. Your eight words were not easy to connect but I enjoyed trying.
