If You Look You Will Find the Signs

yesterday with downcast eyes i mourned you yet again in all the years that you've been gone i longed to feel you near memories may live on but they can never keep you here yesterday with downcast eyes i found a rock of love and somehow i just knew you placed it there for me to find as a sign you're still by my side when i need you most today i placed the rock so someone else may find a simple sign when they need it most

As the love is shared with you, you absorb what meaning you can and immediately share with another ~ That is a beautiful soul... hugs. This piece was so very heartfelt.

Thank you so much...i believe he led me to the rock of love as a sign...i always make wreaths for his grave...he moved to florida before he passed, he and his wife had graves up here, she obviously doesn't make it here to visit his since he passed but it is right by my house so i go often... hugs :)

My deep thoughts in your write.. as I feel the same, but my loss has only been a year. He also brought me a rock he'd found of two happy faces in love it still sits in my kitchen.. and when I look at it , it makes me smile. Fate

So sorry for your loss but so happy that he gave you a rock as special as that...it sounds as if it was fate...sometimes it's the simple things that mean the most... i smiled when i found this rock...it was fate, but i did set it back out for someone else to find, in hopes someone will smile as i did.... hugs

I am not familiar with them or the story. Wow, that makes the poem and the inspiration behind it even more special

Thank you so much Chris. Not sure If you are familiar with love Rocks and the story behind them. I shared the photo now to the poem. I loved the ocean and as a child loved sea Horses. I remember by dad buying me a kit to grow your own. Of Course it didn’t work but I still thought finding the rock on his date of death at a place he briefly worked with a sea horse and the word love was a sure sign

Thank you. I think the love rocks are a cool thing. They have a site about two young girls that were struck by a car and killed and the parents started these rocks to continue to spread joy as their children did. Often people find one when they need the sign the most :). Hugs

This is an awesome poetic story. I've never heard of love rocks, but it's a cool idea. Someday when I figure out how to post photos on soup I'll have to show everyone a rock I found. Its very small, was lying in a gravel road that has constant heavy construction equipment traveling it, to this day I can't explain how I noticed it out of the thousands of gravel pieces lying there. Its bluish grey with white quartz and has a near perfect heart shape on it. Hmmmm

Do they have them out your way Caren? I think it originated in Oregon or somewhere on the western side This one was a seahorse beautifully painted ( I love the ocean) and it had the word love on it. I found it at a place my dad worked briefly when he first retired ... coincidence? I think not :). Hugs
