If She Remembers Me
I sit on a cold park bench
The sun is shining
The air is warm
My loneliness chills me to the bone
Thoughts wandering
Wondering what my life is for
I thought I knew
The one day I met her I was sure
It was meant for a brown-haired angel
The one to whom I offered my heart
Who sent it back without a thought
She doesn’t know what she has done
How far into the darkness she has driven me
Maybe she will learn from my words
And when I am gone
She will shed but a singe tear
If she even remembers me
