If Only.
If only I had a picture of you, then I could see the long days through.
Just a snapshot would do.
Black and white or color not fussy.
Just as long it was you and not some other hussy.
It would have pride of place ,in my room on the base.
Then when you are not there,I could sit and stare.
With your eyes sparkling, your golden hair.
your sweet perfume ,that brightens the air.
I can smell it now,
Charlie Channel9.
What ever it was it smelt divine.
If only you didn't want to be just friends
We could have seen it through to the end.
It was as if fate had crossed our paths.
making sure it wasn't going to last.
If only.
