If I Were the Devil
If I were the devil,
I would be playing on my fiddle
And dancing a jig,
As most now don't give a fig.
If I were the devil,
My grin would be positively evil
As I count the souls that have fallen onto my plate,
And those about to capitulate
If I were the devil,
Sitting on a chair that can swivel,
I would be trying not to laugh,
At those who think they are so tough.
If I were the devil,
I would see no need for a will,
As fresh souls now arrive hourly,
And a devilish outcome more of a possibility.
