If I Were Immortal
If I were immortal -
Will I be feared of death?
Will I fix target-date,
To end all tasks at hand?
Will I, then, blame my fate?
If I were immortal -
Will faith remain my norm?
Will justice have its place?
Will fairness, in me, thrive?
Will love become my base?
If I were immortal -
When all such fill the earth,
Will the planet bear all?
When the old fill the space,
Where will the newborns crawl...?
If I were immortal -
I must live each minute,
Spark of the God supreme,
Must light up my whole life;
Light for all! Life should gleam...!
