Gentle whispers, like quiet roses
Softly opening, pouring out their fragrance
Against a sunny afternoon,
In the winds, a breeze singing
Through the tender leaves, dancing
On the ends of steely branches
Peaceful slumber, echoing in dreams
Laughing, breathless like the inspirations
Stirred to life by His grace,
The wonder of light in His face,
Joy, falling in rays of silent praise
Coloring our hopes in beautiful awakening
Poetry and prose, both alive as a psalm
Pouring out desire through the heart and soul
A fire burning with passion, erasing
All the doubt, dread and devastation
From the soul who knows that His blessings
Are like light poured out through the dark
Wisdom etches a bliss through the one
Who knows that God inhales adoration, worship
Falling from lips in kisses, prayers
Breaking free from the wounds of sorrow
Opening the heart to the miracles and wonders
Like stardust shimmering on the night
Love so alive it glows through the skies, twinkling in rays of affection
Promising glory beyond any perfection
His love rains down pleasures, enchantment
Faith that abides, restores hearts
With His still, small voice – His abiding mercy
His love is what I strive for, what I’d die for!
