I Wish You Would Stay

stay...if only for a minute. dream- our fate shall prevail. Like dew drops encompassing a rose, I covered you in the delight of morn'- saturated in nature's goodness, enveloped in the humidity of heartache. Where am I to go without affection? what path to choose...lost in a labyrinth. breath...inhale with me. remain- with me by your side. Without you inside my essence, I am nothing but a delayed moment- trapped in a cave of regret; absent in a classroom of adolescence, longing for adulthood. For you are but a child; I am but maturity, an aged ripened grape- someday I will pour myself a glass of merlot... pretending you are keeping me company. grow...inside my soul. relish- in the magic of my touch. Some poems refuse to be passed by, as if they grab your heart and insist on having attention...There are so many vulnerable thoughts here- "Where amI to go without affection? What path to choose- lost in a labyrinth." I love the alternate stanza formats. Beautiful words, beautifully writen.
