I Wish, I Wish Upon Shattered Star

I Wish, I Wish Upon Shattered Star My baby, my baby, left scars on me So deep! So damn deep you can't ever see A cut, ghastly cut with long rusty knife Not gonna, not gonna be loving wife. I wish, I wish on a shattered star Heaven would tell me where the hell you are Send me roadmap to your far away door Please, please, please, forever you I adore Hold me, hold me tight, love me true tonight Care not who was wrong, who the hell was right! Wish I, wish I this, your sweet smile, your kiss My darling, my darling, your touch I so miss Darkness, darkness, now deeply covers me Only, only, your sweet love can save me! Robert J. Lindley, Aug 1st, 1974 Sonnet, ( When A Sad Crushing Loss Ones' Heart Consumes ) Note: AUG, 1976 - DELETED Note: JAN 21-2022 Once, once I was in a hole a million miles deep….. Some things are simply impossible to ever forget... Presented as was composed, forty-six years ago. No edits to the actual poem, old note was deleted.

This is no ordinary romantic/love song, Robert. It's much more than that. The pain and sadness of a failed relationship leaves an everlasting scar which not even time could delete. ~ Best regards, my friend. // paul

The poignant line: Care not who was wrong, who the hell was right! Since Mom passed, Dad says she was always right. Tears.

Thank you, my friend. Yes, your dad spoke what love speaks. Love speaks to us with a much clearer voice after a great and tragic loss. Sorry about your mother passing on my friend. God bless..
