I wasn't looking at the Arc de Triomphe

The world paused. I'd taken a photo of a pigeon and was showing the pigeon the photo. The pigeon was studying the image. We watched on in wonder, watching as the pigeon transcended - almost... Then a woman asked if she could sit down, and feeding lettuce to a pigeon whilst showing it a photo of itself suddenly didn't seem to have the gravitas it had a second before. Some more disgust at lettuce occurred at floor level from 'our' pigeon. The ladies said, "Oh my God, these coffee cups are ridiculously insane," and took a photo of the coffee cups (small paper espresso cups). I felt her revelation was not worth interrupting the groundbreaking work I had been doing. However, it was time to leave the Champs-Élysées McDonald's and never see the pigeon again. I keep laughing to myself about the fact that I paused when she asked to sit down and considered, for a split second, saying: "No, sorry, I'm showing a photograph of a pigeon to a pigeon." The End.

Hahah omg! Did you really! Gosh! Why havent i thought of ever doing that? Im actually intrigued now to see how macaws (parrots) would react if i did this. Cus i see them often. Maybe i should try! Iv never realized or noticed how beautiful pigeons are, they sort of look also like african greys! And look at those eyes! As if its got eyeliner on! Lol i love poems like this that are so engaging! Thank you for sharing your experience! Pleasure reading! Sending you light

This was the best looking of the bunch (all the others were thrilled with lettuce). I suppose budgies are looking in mirrors all the time haha. I am strongly drawn to ridiculous nonsense like this (unfortunately). I found it quite amusing how what felt profound (in the moment) contrasted with how dull I found the seat takers conversation about cups lol. It's like "hey, you interrupted a moment here!" Haha :) thanks for engaging with this one lol
