I wasn't looking at the Arc de Triomphe

The world paused.
I'd taken a photo of a pigeon and was showing the pigeon the photo. The pigeon was studying the image. We watched on in wonder, watching as the pigeon transcended - almost...
Then a woman asked if she could sit down, and feeding lettuce to a pigeon whilst showing it a photo of itself suddenly didn't seem to have the gravitas it had a second before.
Some more disgust at lettuce occurred at floor level from 'our' pigeon.
The ladies said, "Oh my God, these coffee cups are ridiculously insane," and took a photo of the coffee cups (small paper espresso cups).
I felt her revelation was not worth interrupting the groundbreaking work I had been doing. However, it was time to leave the Champs-Élysées McDonald's and never see the pigeon again.
I keep laughing to myself about the fact that I paused when she asked to sit down and considered, for a split second, saying:
"No, sorry, I'm showing a photograph of a pigeon to a pigeon."
The End.
